trying to switch from my iPhone to anything else after decades of Apple has been a nightmare. help from the Google support center and a lot of time and patience, and I think I finally got it working a little. Google files is sooo nice having external storage space!!! figuring out how to use it is a little different, but I think I need a better phone comparable to my regular upgraded Apple... Still learning and researching. thank you!!!

a terrible file manager, it's so bad!!!! ok... I don't want or need a a file manager that recommends, or guesses, or tries to figure out what I am using the app for! I want a simple list of folder's that I can pick and open to see what's inside. This app is so locked down, no useful permissions, that it is a huge waist of my time!!! And very irritating!! Lastly, and most important, I can't uninstall it completely!!!! This is my phone, I paid for it, THIS IS NOT GOOGLE'S PHONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was needing to transfer a lot of slides in the fronts of .png. Google drive doesn't have the option to download full folders, so now I have to manually download all the slides png and re-organize them in Files app. That's already enough to make it a very lengthy and tedious process. BUT NOW, Files can't recognize SINGLE DIGITS FILE NAMES, you have to put zeros in front of them to be sorted! E.g. You get 1 10 11, 2, 21, 22 if you name files that way, work only with zeroes 01, 02, 10, 11, 21.

Hi Tony! To sort the files, please follow these steps: Open the files app - Select the categories - On a top right corner "tap on 3 dot option" - Select the sort options. Thanks for using Files by Google.
