In Lost Pages, you don't draw cards.
You draw elements.
Instead of drawing cards randomly, spells require elemental resources such as Fire, Water, Earth, and Air.

I have absolutely no clue what the story is on about, but the gameplay is pretty good. Game might need a written guide you can click on for if you weren't completely paying attention during the tutorial though. Completed the entire first run without really understanding every thing. maybe that's an argument for it being too easy, but it was easy mode so I guess that's fine.

Instead of drawing cards, you're actually drawing energy/resources for them. I can't think of another card game that has done it this way, but it takes away a lot from the annoying randomness factor that a lot of rogue-like card games have. If there's one thing I would complain about, is having such a massive hand to scroll through late game; by which point you would have collected many cards already. If there was a quick sorting feature for this, that would be great.

The game is a fun deck builder similar to Slay the Spire, delivering a variety of fights with unique and challenging enemies as you climb the difficulties. It's done a lot right in making the game enjoyable while not requiring me to spend money, but until they fix a bug that causes the game to freeze on a black screen after winning a run I cannot give the game more than 3 stars for its rating.
