Same with all other merge games. They seem to be a carbon copy of each other. This one is somewhat fun to play but again, once you run out of energy, the gameplay stops unless you spend real money to buy more. Or if you run out of room on the board to merge anything else. Because the game spits out way more of what you don't need. It gets old after a while and whatever hooks you from the ads are never a level you get to play.

Edit: I reached the end exactly 10 days later, after retrying. And my points still stand: it's hard to progress after a certain point. 9 of the items locked on the board are already maxed and can never move, the game says the next update will be on 5/10/2024... Either a week or months ago. It doesn't let you get that far, only level 33, but hey. No ads! Though... There's also no save recovery. So. I'm keeping my 4 stars. It's not perfect by any means, but it's fine enough.

The renovations cost to much coin or you don't give out enough opportunities to get energy. I play these types of games ALL DAY and I've never downloaded and played one where as soon as I start, I play for 10 minutes and can't do anything but wait for energy .... Especially in the beginning there should be either more ways to get more energy OR lower the cost of the builds because it doesn't suck you in and make you want to keep playing it when that happens in the first 10 minutes.
