A question to devs: why do I need an app that stops running in the background and there's no setting to turn this option on in my oppo? I never get any timely updates in the widget.

The weather is stuck on the weather update for October 2025, I have uninstalled and reinstalled and even updated the app only for it to still show the weather for October 2025, every time I refresh the weather reading it says update fails.

Decent simple weather app and widget. However, tapping to view the details on the weather redirects you to the ad filled hell that is the weather channel.
