About this game

Ghoul Thrasher is a dismal dark fantasy dungeon crawler. An 8-bit, retro, roguelike quest through a decrepit dungeon, deep and dangerous. Survive the corrupted Citadel Sinystera, a labyrinth of randomly generated rooms, riddled with horrifying monsters and deadly traps. Step into the soggy greaves of Gnargoth, a humble peasant with nothing to lose and everything to fight for.

Battle through an old-school, tabletop inspired solo-rpg. Your journey depends upon the dice, crits and failures will determine your fate. Packed with brutal 8-bit pixel art, inspired by retro horror and table top fantasy. Featuring guest art from master of psychedelic horror, SKINNER.

Survive 6 levels of ghouls, beasts, cultists, traps, gamblers, alchemists, and oddities before taking on the final boss, the wretched, repulsive Vermintrilloquist!

Rock out to the chiptune soundtrack featuring doom metal inspired dirges and spooky square wave synthscapes. And search the dungeon for a special chiptune appearance by fantasy metal band, Castle Rat.

'Pick up and play' gameplay style, finish a successful run in around 30 minutes. Delve into randomly generated, door bashing adventure, with two difficulty settings and unlimited replayability!

Can you survive the Citadel?

Gameplay obviously isn't super deep, but it's a fun lightweight take on old school turn based dungeon crawling. The dark fantasy aesthetic, pixel art, and music are all on point. Plus, I think it's worth supporting anything digital product sold for a reasonable upfront cost without any online functionality, microtransactions, ads, or upselling. What you buy is what you get. My only complaint so far is that the mechanics abruptly change for the boss. It's real time and you use the D pad.

A fun and addictive rng adventure. def a throwback with its presentation. I'd love to see new enemies and areas most especially, maybe additional weapons and items added at some point. Perhaps even trinkets that can add, if not minor bonuses for runs, modifiers. Say, increased chance for rare encounters and loot. That could go any way really. Either way I love it

confusing, unengaging. Can't get a refund. Needs more clarity. rooms change quickly not sure if I can check the room.. don't know if I'm pressing buttons as nothing reacts to touch.....
