About this app

Spark is a free daily puzzle app where curiosity comes to play.

Each day, Spark explores a single theme, from rebellions and rockets to Pokémon and potatoes, through thoughtful puzzles spanning history, pop culture, science, geography, sports, and more.

With four unique games and new puzzles every day, Spark makes learning part of your routine. Each game offers a different way to explore the day’s theme, whether you’re spotting connections, making comparisons, or reasoning through new facts.

Learn as you play, without pressure, timers, or tests, just the joy of discovery.

Spark’s games include:
This or That: Choose between two options to learn more about the day’s theme
Links: Find the common thread connecting people, places, and ideas
Chrono: Put events in order to see how history really unfolded
Knockout: Uncover surprising comparisons in a series of fun head-to-head matchups

All of Spark’s puzzles are human-crafted by experts, not AI and designed to spark those “aha” moments that make ideas stick.

Daily themes are explored from multiple angles, with an archive of hundreds of past puzzles so you can revisit previous topics anytime. Along the way, you’ll uncover facts that are fun to learn and even better to share.

From the creators of Elevate and Balance, Spark is part of a collection of mental fitness apps designed to strengthen your mind.

I love everything about this game EXCEPT how when you're playing Chrono and you have the card in the right position on the timeline and then it slides into a totally different position either up or down after you release it so you get it "wrong." It's so frustrating! Please find a way to "lock" the cards into place before submitting the response. One star off for this; otherwise, optimal game for learning cool stuff!

So far, so good. I prefer nature, history, and science topics to movies, music, sports, and celebrities. But I'm sure there are plenty of people who like entertainment topics, and the variety means there's something for everyone. I suggest being able to hide/unhide completed days in the archive to make it easier to find incomplete days. The new Knockout game is my least favorite of the four and seems silly and pointless most days. Thanks for adding Dark mode!

Unfortunately, I think I'm gonna have to let this one go. Its a wonderful concept and I've been enjoying it quite a bit. HOWEVER the decision to release the new game they've been teasing in the corner the ENTIRE time ONLY if you subscribe is UNACCEPTABLE. I already subscribe to BOTH Elevate AND Balance. Keeping the archive behind a paywall is understandable. This just feels greedy. But I guess I'll have a little more space on my phone from now on. It was fun while it lasted. Goodbye, Spark.

Thanks for your thoughtful feedback. We’re glad you’ve enjoyed Spark overall. We understand your frustration. Our goal with 5 free plays is to let everyone try the new game before deciding on a subscription. Subscriptions help us keep building new experiences, such as Knockout. We truly appreciate your support across Spark, Balance, and Elevate.
