One of the best! I used play this on iPhone several years ago, didn't realize there was an Android version until I saw the Steam release several days ago. highly recommended if you like Advance Wars or turn-based strategy in general. I'm not very good at multiplayer at all but it is still very fun, and being asynchronous makes it very easy to pick up and play. Also, it's a full, high-quality game with no ads, no in app purchases, and no nonsense. just pure fun. Just buy it already!

I normally wait for games to go on sale, but I also periodically hunt around for promising tactical/turn-based games because it's one of my favorite genres, especially for mobile, and this game is easily one of the best on GP. It's clearly inspired by games like Advance Wars, but it stands alongside that series with equal quality. it's nice to look at, it has all the features you would expect from this kind of game and it has great writing and a very slick UI. It was totally worth the purchase.

The general gameplay is good, just like common turn-based-battle games with city capture and unit production. However, I'm disappointed that movement and attack range are calculated rigidly on straight horizontal and vertical (diagonal is counted as greater than 1 unit length). It messes up the initial plans. Sure I'll get used to it, but the overall maneuvers will always be unpleasant to see, e.g. adjacent 1-range units won't be able to attack if they're diagonal to each other.
