The app is getting better, by far the most visually appealing of all navigation apps I have used. Loads quickly and doesn't hang as does the other Tom Tom navigator. Wishing that it showed charging locations and traffic bar as does the other TomTom Navigator app. If they could just combine the best of both apps , and add missing trip planning and POI along Route... This would be the best Navigator available!

Most apps put the option to avoid certain roads under settings. With Tomtom , you have to configure it when setting up your route. It's saved, but it's an odd place to put it.. Another problem that needs resolving is not showing the actual street you're supposed to turn on, but just showing distance from the turn and an arrow pointing to the right of left. This sometimes forces users with hearing lost to spend more time staring at the map to avoid missing a turn than watching the road.

Clean interface but less flexible than my old hardware GPS. No apparent way to program in alternate stops or routes. Only options that are preprogrammed: eco, fast, short, winding. with certain selections to avoid routing through tollways, interstates, ferries, etc. This means having to manually route multiple separate segments if you want to do a route different from what the algorithm chooses for you. That's a step back.
