From a single app, you can:
- Use content filtering
- Monitor and limit Verizon call and text activity on smartphones
- Limit Verizon data usage on smartphones or connected tablets
- Monitor web and app activity
- Manage screen time
- Pause internet
- Use location sharing, pick-me-up and check-in features
- Get location alerts
- View driving activity

Basic location sharing and 24/7 Assist are now available on your Smartwatch via Wear OS. Location services such as Safe Walk are not available at this time. Featuring Wear OS Complications.

Legal: To use the Verizon Family app, a Verizon standard monthly postpaid account on an eligible device or an invitation from a Verizon account is required. Verizon postpaid mobile plans include Verizon Family location sharing features at no add’l cost or upgrade to Verizon Family Plus ($14.99/mo until canceled) for location sharing and alerts, parental controls for calls, texts and online activity, driving insights and roadside assistance. Roadside assistance through Signature Motor Club, 4 events/yr. Verizon Family app download required. Service does not monitor calls or texts sent over the internet and does not contact 911 for crash or SOS alerts. Push notifications must be enabled to see when new members join family acct. Some alerts sent via text message. Msg & data rates apply.

We've tried to like this app, but it's just not very good. Location notifications are sometimes minutes behind or don't come at all. There is no way to opt out of features you don't want, so every time you open the app, like when it hasn't sent a notification of departure, you have to click on several tiny x's or not nows, before it refreshes. Also, it is a massive memory hog, prompting my Samsung to routinely tell me that Verizon Family is using a lot of background resources. We're done.

The app updates are the MOST inaccurate location updates I've yet seen in a tracking app. Verizon should be embarrassed! It's constantly telling me that members of my family have arrived/left the house around the clock, or it's just giving me false updates about their location and mine. The ONLY good thing about the app is that it actually shows the live locations accurately. Also, the free version should allow updates for 2 people, for BOTH parents to get updates. Cheap app.

I am trying to remove the restrictions on some of my lines. I can't get into the app. It doesn't even tell me if the password is wrong, it just says client error. So I tried to cancel Smart Family through my PC and it keeps saying there is an error, try again later. I can't even get a live rep to chat with, just a bot. Very frustrating because my elderly parents can't make phone calls after midnight! This was never a problem before, and now suddenly I'm getting cut off while talking.
