Great app for identifying birds, but there is one really annoying bug preventing it from being 5 stars. When selecting a range of the spectrum to play back or analyze, the audio doesn't line up, it's shifted a second or two after the selection and gets worse the further it is to the left. It usually takes multiple tries to get an accurate selection. This wasn't a problem a few years ago, though it could be because I had a different phone (Moto X4). Would also love the app to be open source.

Love this app. Hear birds on regular basis that I can't see or ID by sound. I know basics which are a result of being able to see the birds while they sing. For elusives like warblers, this app easily picks up their song. The sensitivity is much better than I expected it would be. Within 10 minutes of finding this app I learned of a bird I've never seen but hear frequently. Two days later, same thing. And to double check the results I go to Merlin. Wish I found this app sooner!

Fantastic for vocal id'ing but not perfect. I wish we could submit recordings that otherwise come up incorrect. I have a lot of blue jays with calls that sound like panicking squirrels (when they're in "warning" mode), but it keeps popping up as red tailed hawk, which I can confirm, and have reported, as the wrong species. Whenever I hear a new call, I open this app for id, then do my best to visually id, and it's been spot on.
