How to set-up the app with your business account in two steps
1. Sign up for HSBC UK Business Internet Banking. If you’re not registered, go to: www.business.hsbc.uk/en-gb/everyday-banking/ways-to-bank/business-internet-banking.
2. You’ll need a Security Device or a Security Device Replacement Code to set-up the app and log on for the first time.

Great app, easy to use and understand, however, when I received the business loan I had to pay monthly straight away, didn't get any free months, so the loan requirement was actually less because I had to keep a huge chunk of the loan to cover the monthly payments, even got a letter saying my free months have expired even though I never got any free months.... disappointing!

Whenever I try to open the app, it always says "we can't access your account" sometimes I have to close the app twice with the same message and then 3rd time I get to the screen where we normally put our PIN to access the app. Its really frustrating and it is great surprise for me that HSBC giant who claims to be international got such a bad experience of its banking app.

So after having to uninstall and reinstall three times today, I counted the number of SMS messages that I'd received in the last six months with the code which allows me to (re)install the App. Much to my surprise it was 11. Today was a series of particularly bad doom loops when trying to pay VAT via one of those instant transfer intermediaries. It feels like a capacity issue, because it does work most of the time. Check the log files; they will show incomplete transactions.
