Her Body and Other Parties is definitely not your average book. It's weird, it's spooky, and it's totally thought-provoking. The stories are super creative and make you think about things in a whole new way. I loved how each story felt so different, but they all seemed to connect in the end. It's not a book for everyone, but if you're looking for something that's a little bit out there, I'd definitely recommend it

About the author
Carmen Maria Machado’s work has appeared in Granta, The New Yorker, NPR, Electric Literature, and elsewhere. She has been nominated for a Nebula Award and a Shirley Jackson Award, and was a finalist for the Calvino Prize. She lives in Philadelphia.
