For me, the book started off too slow, I struggled to connect with the characters and create that image in my head while reading. Having seen the highly rated reviews, I decided to continue reading. The book starts to pick up half way but I still wasn't involved, so I put the movie on and that's what did it for me. The first 30 minutes of the movie helped me fall in love with the characters and had me intrigued. I turned the movie off, not wanting any spoilers and finished the book. I felt more connected and was able to feel for the characters more. I'd still stay it was a good book but not a great book. I like that the ending, is still in a way, open to interpretation. Glad I finished it, now I can finish watching the movie, which is very good so far.

I sincerely love this book. I enjoyed every last word of it. This book immediately captured my heart and soul, and I'll cherish every last drop of tears I spend reading this book. Jennifer Niven created an amazing story that will capture you immediately. Thank you for writing a good book to cry for, you captured many hearts.This book reminded me of The Fault In Our Star with a tragic losses and of course, romance. I literally cannot wait for the movie, I for sure know, it's gonna be an amazing adaptation.

I would give this book 5 stars for the simple fact that I started reading it when I was sad and it quickly empowered me. I was in a middle school at the time and was having a hard time finding friends to share a book with. I found this book in a popular place and although I was very sad, it gave me hope. I was able to relate quickly to the plot. Our teacher used it as an independent reading book, and it was voted by a lot of kids as a wish list book.
