dropping a star.app was better, when they cut over to the new app, they deleted all my data or didn't migrate it, so that's unfortunate as I've been using them for years. the new app is slower than the previous, the graphs are more crayon like in drawing and don't look as precise, they always need to pause to update and seems to favor Bluetooth now even though I have a hub, I'm missing one of my devices that's still visible in the old app, and devices drop off now with no warning of low battery.

The app unnecessarily requires Internet access to work, a big problem for me. There is no app option for data download to your phone, you must use their website for that. Data sampling issues seem to have improved, but the app has stopped automatically collecting data. I have to start the app and manually trigger download of data from the sensor.

Hi there, there can be a small delay in the app vs the screen of the device since the data must be sent to the cloud before it is shown on the app. Additionally, we are aware of the occasional data gaps in sampling and are working on a fix for this as we speak. Please reach out to support@airthings.com regarding you getting ads in the app.

The new app no longer supports automatic syncing, which is a major issue. Users expect to see their data immediately upon opening the app, but now every time you launch it, you must manually trigger a sync and then wait 15–30 minutes before new data appears. This change effectively makes Wave device unusable for most people. The previous version synced automatically without any issues. Update: with new app, one has to wait 29 days before you can see radon data after replacing battery.
