About this app

Grow the money you earn on Lyft with cashback and other perks

Designed exclusively for drivers on the Lyft platform, the Lyft Direct app gives you access to financial tools that help you manage your money.

Instant Payouts: Get your earnings immediately after each ride directly into a business bank account.

Earn cash back: Receive 1-10% cash back on gas when you pay at the pump, 1-12% on public EV charging and additional rewards on groceries, dining, and more.

Wellness Perks by Avibra: Active drivers unlock free life and accident insurance, support for your well-being, and more.

Grow Your Savings: Set up automatic savings with a high-yield savings account that earns you interest.*

Balance Protection: Eligible drivers can access $50-$200 to cover unexpected expenses when you need it most.

Spend Insights: Monitor your average daily or monthly spending and allows you to create custom budgets.

The Lyft Direct Business Mastercard® debit card is issued by Stride Bank, N.A., member FDIC, pursuant to a license by Mastercard International. The Lyft Direct application is subject to eligibility. Once you are approved for a Lyft Direct business debit account and log into your Lyft Direct app, we'll automatically start sending your payouts to your Lyft Direct business account after every ride and trip. You can update your payout method in your Driver app.

Lyft Direct is designed for business use and may not be maintained for personal, family or household purposes. Maximum account balance and other limits, terms and conditions apply.

Ride fare earnings will be sent after each ride. There may be instances where funding is delayed, for example if there is a system error, Express Drive rental fees are due, or an investigation is underway regarding the security of your account. Tips will be sent based on the Rider’s selection, which may take place up to 24 hours after the ride is completed.

Gas, grocery, restaurant and public EV charging merchant classification is subject to Mastercard rules. For cashback on gas, only payments made at the pump are eligible as payment inside the gas station is not generally eligible for cashback. Cashback rewards are earned for select purchases using your Lyft Direct business debit card and become available for redemption as those purchases settle. Payments via third-party apps are not eligible for cashback. Use your Lyft Direct business debit card to pay. Reward categories and amounts subject to change without notice.

Wellness Perks is powered by Avibra and subject to eligibility for active Lyft Direct users. To be considered active, you must have received a payout to your Lyft Direct card within the last 60 days. Wellness Perks are subject to change without notice; select services are limited by state residency.

Interest is offered only on the optional savings account that you may sign up and open along with your Lyft Direct business account. Rates are variable and may change at any time without notice before or after the account is opened at our sole discretion. Additional terms and conditions apply.

Balance Protection is only available to select Lyft Direct cardholders with enabled instant payouts to the card after every trip. Eligibility requirements for Balance Protection subject to change without notice. Terms and conditions apply.

See the Stride Bank Account Agreement, Payfare Program Terms, and E-SIGN Agreement for details, including account fees, transaction limits, and restrictions due to the business nature of the Lyft Direct account. Sometimes, at random, it declines a transaction. That's not very cool, especially with auto pay bills. You don't even find out until you get a notice from your provider, maybe a month later, with a fine, that tells you. Then customer service won't help or reverse the charges. I work hard for my money and I don't need an app that is supposed to work for me to not assist me when things go wonky.

The only frustration is it pays out to stride but you can't actually get an account with them so when you're trying to have your payout go to a different bank or what have you, it becomes impossible because those banks want you to log into your bank account with stride Bank and since you don't have one, you can't do it. aside from that it works just fine.

I was so impressed with this app that I started doing all of my banking through them! The one thing that I would change, that is frustrating, is that I cannot edit the category that is assigned for purchases. For a cafe it will assign as "groceries". an electric charge it will assign as "general". if they only changed each transaction so that the category was editable, it would be perfect!
